CD -ROM DEININITION

The abbrevation CD-ROM XA for cd-rom extended architecture, in computing , a set of standards for storing multimedia information on CD-ROM. It is developed by Philips, sony, LG and Microsoft, it is partial development of the CD-1 Standard. it interleaves data (as in CD-1) so that blocks of audio data are sandwiched between blocks of text, graphics, or video. This allows parallel streams of data to be handled, so that information can be seen and heard simultaneously.

CD-RW is an abbrevation for compact disc rewritable, compact disc on which data can be recorded easly (compare with 'CD-ROM' compact disc which defines read only memory, unlike CD-R disks, stored data can be erased and CD-RW disks reused.

Well here is the details knowledge of the hard disk, it is a device that uses ferromagnetic material which store data as part of a computer system in itself and worked as the ROM memory. Hard drive normally consist of a completely sealed cover case that assembled with the following major components discussed below

1.  First part of the hard disk is Rigid disks, or platters, that are properly coated with very tiny particles that can be magnetized to represent and store data in its set memory. The disks are so greatly designed to be permanently enclosed within the drive so why these hard disks are also sometimes known as fixed disk drives

2. Second majore part is an electric motor and a spindle which we also named an axle,  that are used to get rotate the disks properly in an alignment

3. Third part of it is a mechanism called read and write head that access and retrieves the data from any outer source and also stores data to the disk. There are small two heads in each disk (one for each side of the disk). And these read-write heads can also move and rotate exactly from near the center of the disk out to its rim. So, by spinning the disk and moving the head from center to edge, then the read-write head can access any area of the whole disk. The read-write head records and reads data according to certain patterns, or formats. So, all the memory disk contained within a particular hard drive are identified according to side (top and bottom); each side is then again partitioned into concentric rings and each ring is further divided into sectors and allocation units, which are the smallest areas available on the disk for storing the all data.

So, it is necessary to know for us that hard drives must utilize an electronic device called a disk controller to control communications with the computer's central processing unit  and for directing the read-write head's movement. Some hard drives possess their own disk controller; for other hard drives the disk controller resides on the computer's motherboard, or for on an expansion card. Well as for your more knowledge regarding this, there are several interface standards in the hard disk for just regulating the passage of data between a hard drive and the CPU itself. So, the most common interfaces are IDE controllers its definition is (Integrated Drive Electronics) and other is SCSI [Small Computer System Interface]. The IDE and SCSI interfaces were introduced in the computer market in around 1986 and since then there have been many variations and successors to those interfaces. A hard drive using an IDE interface for communication requires an IDE controller; a SCSI interface requires a SCSI controller to get operate easily and fully access to its functionality.

• In this new era of technology after a long research very much modifications have been made in assembling of the new PC to make work and system very easier.
• First of all the UATA hard disk and its data cable now have been replaced by a SATA hard disk with a single narrow cable with the motherboard. The effects on assembly - the hard disk now uses a different cable which prevents alot of wires conflicting with each other just by using a single sata cable, from the one that is shown below, and plugs into a different slot of  the motherboard as now coming is designed specially for sata drives and is very successful.
• The normal CPU fan has also been replaced by high three-speed Antec fan with powerful  4-pin power connector on the motherboard. Its effects on assembly:- First,  the fan plugs into main power instead of the motherboard; the power-supply fan plugs into the motherboard shown.
• Now the video card and DVD-ROM are different. Effects on assembly: none, but slightly different not so much because it works and compatible with all motherboards.

  There turns out to be a serious bug in the motherboard BIOS in the 2005.08.23 workstation, and fixing that bug requires the following extra steps once the computer has beeped as mentioned below,

• On any working PC just download one file named A8V-ASUS-0213.ROM from the Asus A8V download page. This file has MD5 checksum 9c44e207cb3e37a6dc797aa6e1b99f5, after that the next step is -
• just  rename the file as A8VB.ROM and burn that file to a new blank CD disk.
• On the standard workstation, as soon as the initial boot screen appears,then quickly press Alt-F2 to enter into the BIOS EZ Flash utility settings, and then insert the CD. After that the EZ Flash utility will read A8VB.ROM from CD, erase the system's BIOS, and copy A8VB.ROM to the system's BIOS; and please note that do not turn the computer off while all this process is in working
• After this reboot now there is not to worry about the bad-checksum message, as it will not effect anything but just avoiding this press F2 function key button  to continue loading operating system and now it will be out of all that bugs.

2) We must Shutdown Unnecessary programs: First use this path
Start > Run > Msconfig > Startup, then we can close all unwanted applications at our windows startup or taskbar and it will automatically increase the windows loadup time and it will speed up the computer.

3)  Third process if of RAM INCREASE:  So, by increasing your RAM in your computer, now can get extra fast speed of the computer.

  4)  One more trick is of Disk Cleanup: by use of the disk clean up option which is in
Start > Programs > Accessories > System tools > Disk clean up utility, by no failure one can delete unwanted applications and files from computer and it would be more helpful in boost up of the speed.

  5)  Nobody knows these small tricks / tips can increase alot of speed among which one more tip is to get empty Recycle Bin,  Whenever we delete a file or a folder or any data from the computer, it will automatically first goes to the recycle bin and then it covers the virtual disk area of the root drive i.e. C drive. So, It is very imperative to delete all the files and folders from the recycle bin and you will get the space of C drive for reusability. We can also direct delete any files or folder by just using the hot keys, for this you can use shift + delete function and it will permanently remove that data without going into the recycle bin.

The main motive to write this tutorial  is to help  even the most technically challenged users so if you're relatively comfortable with the basics, you may want to skip ahead. HOW TO KEEP YOUR COMPUTER CLEAN

Here mentioned by steps that how could we keep our personal computer clean and precautions for its handling.

1. Don't spray or put any type of liquid into computer internal components. If you want to clean it by spray any volatile liquid, just put the liquid onto a cloth and then use that cloth to rub down its parts.
2.  You can also use a vacuum device to suck up all dust and unwanted particles around the computer or the outside case and on their keyboards. However, do not use a vacuum for the inside of your computer as it generates a lot of static electricity that can damage the internal components of your computer. 
3. Computer must be off before cleaning its component especially internal one.
4. Don't ever wet any component inside the computer or any other circuit board.
5. Be cautious when using any type of cleaning solvents; some individuals may have allergic reactions to chemicals in cleaning solvents and some solvents can even damage the case. Try to always use water or a highly diluted solvent.
6. During cleaning process, must be in attention not to accidentally adjust any knobs or controls. In addition, when cleaning the back of the computer, if anything is plugged in, must be sure to disconnect any of the plugs.
7. When you will start to clean fans of the computer, especially the smaller fans within a portable computer or laptop its strongly suggested that you must hold the fan or place something in-between the fan blades to prevent the fan from spinning as blowing compressed air into a fan or cleaning a fan with a vacuum may cause damage to some fans or in some cases cause high back voltage.
8. Don't ever try to eat or drink around the computer as it may give your computer more dirty.
9. Never smoke around your computer.
